Courtney's Bachelorette Weekend

Slowly making my way back home to the north.
Courtney and I drove together to meet up with her two cousins Carol Beth and Crystal for her bachelorette weekend in Williamsburg, VA. We had a few hours to kill before meeting the girls so we pulled off the highway and found our way to the Rosemont Winery.

We got to sample the 15 wines that the winery makes!
My favorite was the Meritage which had recently won "Best in Show" at the Atlantic Seaboard Competition in early August. Courtney bought me a bottle as my birthday present, since my birthday falls during her wedding weekend.

Once we got to Williamsburg we ate dinner at Cracker Barrel and then checked into the hotel motel, it was dark we were at the very back of the property, our door was on the outside.... it was pretty sketch at first!!!

Saturday we got up had breakfast at the hotel and then headed to Water Country. It was so much fun. I was reminded how much I love water parks, especially cause well when you feel fat in your bathing suit, you can always find a "reason" to make yourself not feel so bad, it also works the opposite way too!!
Crystal, Courts, and CB

Bring on the water rides!!!

MMM I love gift shops and all the wonderous things you can find!!!

Saturday night we headed into Colonial Williamsburg for dinner at The King's Arms Tavern. It was a delightful dining experience complete with waitstaff in period dress who took on the persona of the time period.

The lighting was authentic too, only candles.

Courtney's mom, cousin, and aunt crashed our dinner. Her mom was super excited to be able to tell everyone that she had "crashed" her daughters bachelorette party!!!

The entertainment

All the girls shutting down the tavern... they were ready for us to leave, it was like 9 o'clock :)

Sunday morning we checked out of the motel and had breakfast at one of the local pancake houses. We said goodbye and I headed north and they headed south. Can't believe the wedding will be here in just a few weeks!!!
