I will first start off my saying, "Hello, my name is Karoline and I am a hypocrite!" I have always said that you cannot even think about Christmas until Thanksgiving is over and always got mad when the stores would already have out all the Christmas stuff before Halloween. With the realization that I would only be here for half the month of December I knew we needed to get our tree. My dream has always been to cut down a Christmas tree at a farm, but when I did some research and saw that most of the farms weren't open until the weekend after Thanksgiving it was good ole Home Depot to the rescue.

The perfect tree

I think we were the first crazy people to go get our tree because the guy looked at me like I had two heads. They didn't have the chainsaw out to cut the limbs, they didn't have the nets for the trees, and he was pretty special. I tried to make small talk as he carried my tree to the register, asking if he had ever gotten his Christmas tree so early to which he remarked, "Well I'm Jewish"... YIKES, insert foot in mouth! Trying to redeem myself I made a comment as he carried my tree to my car, good workout hey... to which he responded, "Not really". OH GOSH give me a break dude. It didn't get any better when we walked up to my car. He had not been privy to the many years prior that the K-Rolla had been the Christmas Tree Chariot. Trust me dude it fits in the back seat, I promise, and yes it did and we made it home successfully and were able to decorate with hot chocolate and Christmas cookies

Yay for starfish and the pink bow at the top!!
Now I love to sit in my living room with the Christmas tree lit and my fire via DVD and work on homework... very cozy :)
