Tricia's Visit Days 3 & 4

Sunday was my actual birthday. Tricia and I went to church and she got to meet some of my new church friends. We came home afterwards for brunch. Jillian had her family over to celebrate her birthday and was sweet to include me in the celebration.

She made a homemade from scratch red velvet cake... delicious!!!

Jillian put gorgeous pink balloons on the street as well as all the way up the stairs leading to our apartment.

After brunch Tricia and I ventured downtown to the waterfront and then enjoyed a birthday dinner in the North End at Lucca a delicious Italian restaurant

After dinner we headed to the movies and saw Whip It, which was a good movie and I think I am going to pursue my new hobby of roller derby and throw the education field out the window... haha... the movie theater was AWESOME cause you come in the lobby on the ground floor and then ride the escalator up to the 2nd or 3rd floor to the actual theater.

Monday Tricia and I slept in and then enjoyed the sunny day with lunch outside and an afternoon of Skip-Bo. I took her to campus to see BC and then she hung out in the library while I went to class. Monday night she came with me to community group and got to meet my new group that I am studying the Bible with each Monday night.

Tuesday morning I said goodbye to her and headed to the elementary school I am placed at for my assistantship and she flew home that afternoon.
It was wonderful, wonderful to have her with me for my birthday! I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to be away from my friends and in a new city, and know it would have been much harder without her there. :)
