There is nothing better than sleeping on freshly laundered sheets. Living in the city makes this great event a little more difficult, or shall I say it must be well thought out. In the past I could just throw a load of wash in before I left for work or before I went to bed at night. In my new life, laundry is an event. Today I ventured out into the unknown world of the laundromat.
Here are some of my laundromat observations:
- It is really really really expensive
- They have really good magazines... too bad I was reading about literacy and bilingualism
- Why do people stuff their clean, unfolded laundry into huge black garbage bags?
- It is not as cool and romantic as they make it out to be in movies... there were only middle aged women in there, no hunk-o-ramas!
- Being that I am now in liberal land putting my George W. Bush is my homeboy t-shirt on the top of my stack while I was folding may not have been a wise move.
- Jehovah's Witnesses also offer great reading materials, too bad I turned her down
- Glad I bought enough underwear to make this a once a month event
