Well I am coming up on my first week in Boston. Part of me feels like I have been here a lot longer than a week, yet another part can't believe it has already been a week.
This week was full of unpacking, getting settled, and finding my way around a new city. Tuesday-Thursday I started orientation for my grad. assistantship that I will have this school year. It was wonderful to connect and meet with people who though we all have different backgrounds and expertise could still really click! I met several new friends and have enjoyed hanging out with them and exploring the new city we all have just moved to. Last night I even got to watch my beloved Wolfpack play football in a fun sports bar. It felt so weird to watch them from so far away when I should have been sitting next to Taylor all donned in red and white with foam fingers, pom poms, and binoculars. That was the first real wave of home sickness I have had this week.
I have felt more settled in my apartment here in Boston than I had felt in Raleigh for the past several months. I am so thankful that I am sleeping well and that my bed is comfy. I will have to introduce you to my new best friend in my next post. I have found the important places so far... Target, the mall, and campus. I am actually only living about 4 miles from campus so the drive is not bad at all. My little town is super cute and I can't wait to show you around.
The faithfulness and provision of the Lord continues to astound me as He has met my needs exceedingly more this week than I could have ever imagined. I am so floored and at peace and know that this is where I am supposed to be!
I can't believe next week I will be starting classes as a graduate student... HOLY COW!!!!
