EOG Field Trip Week

During the week where the 3-8th grade students at our school were taking the NC EOG test the K-2 went on a weeklong field trip extravaganza! It was a lot of fun.

The Friday before, we went to Pullen Park in Raleigh to have a year end celebration the middle of May.

On Monday we went to Umstead park and did some hiking and the highlight was playing in the creek!

Tuesday we went to MacNair's horse farm in Cary and then to one of the museums downtown in Raleigh.

Wednesday we spent the morning at the public library and then headed to the Museum of Life and Sciences in Durham. It was one of the best museums I have ever been too. They have an amazing butterfly exhibit where the butterflies fly and land on your hands and stuff... it was soooo much fun!

Thursday we went to the Schoolhouse of Wonder on the Eno River in Durham. It was such an amazing fieldtrip. We have learned about bugs, insects, and reptiles all year but this was the first time that we got to truly experience them and not from behind glass. Our nature guide picked up snakes and we got to eat plants that he picked for us and learned about the medicinal purposes of several plants that grow right in your backyard.
