The Porch

My absolute favorite spot of my apartment is the back porch, I love drinking my morning coffee out there. I was in desperate need of some furniture and found a great deal for a set on Craigslist last fall. I decided to wait until spring to redo it because I wouldn't be able to enjoy it during the winter. Little did I know that spring would not come for soooooo long. I am so thankful for my contractor brother who I can call in the middle of Home Depot and ask what I should do to to get all the rust off my chairs. If you need some work done and you live in NC you should definitely check him out, he is AWESOME.... anyway back to my chairs :)

Very boring and blah

The set came with a table and 5 chairs, I wanted to do a fun vibrant color to dress up my porch. So in a shout out to my former digs as a princess in the pink palace, I chose a watermelon color.

After:

I only used 4 of the chairs so you will have to stay tuned to what I did with the 5th one!!!

I had little pink tea light holders from IKEA and filled them with citronella tea lights I found at TJMaxx to keep the bugs away.

Did a little planting and voila, my porch!!
Come on over for a glass of sweet tea, ya'll or some sangria!!!
