This book is the cutest! It is the story of the prediction of snow for the morning and how exciting it will be to get snowed in and to not have school. I love reading this with my students and we read it today because in the story it doesn't actually snow like the weatherman predicts... hmm I think they must live in North Carolina.
The story seems to be written from a child's perspective until the last page when you realize it is the teacher writing it as he is frantically trying to get his kids to school on time and says that he can't be late because he is the TEACHER! I can definitely relate to this because that was me last night, really really hoping for a snow day and wondering if I should go to bed on time or stay up late.
The kids and I decided today that the weatherman should be FIRED!!!!!
