Friday night was the beginning of the Mission's Festival at my church. There was a dinner to kick off the weekend. People could sign up to host a table and a missionary would be placed at your table to eat dinner with you. Taylor signed up for a table and we filled it up with Taylor, Jeff, Me, Cameron (Tay's friend from growing up), Tricia, and Dave. We had two missionaries placed at our table and had a wonderful time.
We had a yummy yummy dinner of fried chicken, baked beans, hashbrown casserole, homemade pasta salad (mad props to Jeff!!!), homemade biscuits, veggies, and a yummy cake for dessert.
I got some daisies and some tealight candles to make our table feel a little more homey!
One of my besties from college Mere R was in town Friday night so I went downtown to meet up with her and two of her friends. I hadn't seen her in, well honestly it has been so long I don't remember the last time I saw her, and it was so fun to catch up on what is going on in our lives face-to-face. She and I have pretty regular phone dates so I am thankful for that... it is a shame we don't see more of each other because she really doesn't live that far! That is something that needs to change.
