Oh What a Day

Tuesday... workday/luckily only one meeting that lasted like 1.5 hours.... here is the breakdown literally and figuratively haha.

I left my house early this morning because I needed to run by Wal-mart to grab another can of spray paint to finish a few spots on the bookcase in my classroom that had been a hideous carolina blue color and was being transformed into a fabulous red.  So proud of myself for getting out on time, going to wal-mart and actually being like 15 minutes early for work... this is quite an accomplishment and felt so good to be go with the flow in traffic and not crazy stressed because I was going to be late (definitely tucked that away for future use!)

I bought cinder blocks yesterday to put underneath my desk which is very short and I needed it to be a little higher.  I hauled those bad boys from Lowes to my car, from my car into my classroom, which was a struggle... I have scratches to prove it.  Well guess what???  My desk was too high with the cinder blocks and looked ridiculous... so I had to haul them back out to my car... uggh and well what was I going to do with 4 cinder blocks??? uuuuugghhh

I finished spray painting my bookcase and it looked so good.  I left it outside to dry.  Meanwhile our principal had hired some men to come and haul away some of the stuff we were throwing out.  Well when I went back outside to get my bookcase it was GONE!  I was furious those men had taken it.  I ran to the office and told the secretary who then called the men to tell them to not throw it away and bring it back.  Well apparently those bums hadn't made it very far and ended up getting paid to drive their truck 30 feet from the door to the dumpster and threw all the trash in there (umm we could have done that)... anywho I digress a TA had walked to her car and saw them and told them not to throw my bookcase away... 20 minutes later I walked out and said very sweetly, "Are ya'll going to bring me back my bookcase?"  To which they grunted, "yeah."  Well I finally got the bookcase back and put it where it goes... ahhh what a trial.

I ended up hauling the cinder blocks back to Lowes and got my money back... good grief what an ordeal.

Needless to say when I got home the stress level was pretty high from the stress of getting things in order, class starting today, and just feeling a lot of pressure because Thursday is open house and I am still getting things organized and there is nothing on the walls, I haven't typed my open house letter and gotten my packets together and well I'm pooped.  So I went on a nice run when I got home and feel much better!
