In my Bible study lesson this week it opened with an amazing question and statement:
What does God have to do to get your attention?
You've felt some nudging....you've wondered...pondered...questioned.
It's been the gentle voice of the Spirit and it's been IGNORED...DROWNED out in you busyness...in the pressures of life...in the clamor of the world.
Is He not God? Is He not to be obeyed? Does He not desire my highest good?
Will He have to shout to make me listen?
I was so humbled by this and it made me think so hard and brought me to tears. The God who created the universe wants to talk with me and why am I throwing Him to the side. If George W. Bush personally called me and said, "Karoline, I want to have a meeting with you." Would I not drop everything and be like umm I have to go meet up with Dubya??? Or if Sid Lowe called and wanted to give me front row seats and passes to meet my boyz. Hello God is way better than George or even the Wolfpack. Why are we letting the daily grind of this world drown Him out? Saturday was an amazing day of rest for me and something that I really needed and something I decided that MUST become a regular part of my life. What about you? What is God trying to tell you, yet you can't hear cause your life is too loud? Time to hit the mute button my friends!
