So I have been sick......on the couch or in my bed for the past 3 days straight. Though there have been nice aspects of not working I have major CABIN FEVER. It has also caused me to think a lot about people who are stuck in a hospital, namely Tricia Lawrenson. Tricia is a woman who is my same age, but has CF (Cystic Fibrosis). Her life is a miracle and she is currently in the hospital awaiting a double lung transplant to save her life. In the same hospital is her other miracle... a baby she always prayed for. She is a modern day Hannah, praying for God to bless her with something humans thought was impossible. And once again our God, the God who is bigger than terminal illness, preemies, lung transplants, and everything medical is using these willing servants to spread the news of His love and faithfulness. Nathan (Tricia's husband) is blogging through their journey and just in the past week have made local news with a front page news story and an evening news story both shouting to the rooftops that Jesus is Lord of this situation.
Yes maybe I have been inconvenienced by my few days of sickness, but if anything it has definitely humbled me and brought me to my knees thanking God for His blessings in my life as well as praying fervently for this sweet family in the hospital just a few short miles from me!
