Ode to WhitewheatOh Whitewheat how I love thee
I moved to the north and you I could not find
I search from the mountains to the sea
But there was no bread of your kind
Some miss biscuits and sweet tea
Some miss Krispy Kreme
Some miss hearing "howdy"
Some miss watching their favorite team
But you oh Whitewheat just can't be beat
You make my pb&j such a special treat
When I walk down the bread aisle, my heart sinks
Because you are manufactured in Georgia and that just stinks
Oh Whitewheat how I love thee
I will have to settle for mediocre bread
Lunch just will not be the same you see
And no, it is not just in my head
**This is a special ode to my favorite bread, Nature's Own breads are only sent so far in the United States to guarantee freshness and the cut off is Maryland. When I was home for Christmas I brought back several loaves and today I made my last sandwich, lunch will not be the same tomorrow :(
