My student teaching is swiftly coming to a close and having been there since November 30th, I have to say I am looking forward to the closure!
It has been a great experience and such a joy to get to spend some time with some students who truly needed a boost in their reading development, those are my favorite kids. The two little first grade boys I wrote my Master's Comprehension paper on were some of my favorite because well they were from the housing project and I have a really hard time explaining this passion in my heart to people, but those were my kids. Makes me miss my Carter children so much!!! Those little munchkins have left me warped and well there just wasn't enough color in the school where I student taught!!
One little kindergartner was a spunky sassy lady.... one day we were working together and she was on a roll and her other classmates had already returned to the classroom, but she wanted to keep going.
Me: "You are missing Spanish, is that okay?"
Sassy Gal: "I'm African AND American, that means I know Spanish!"
Thanks sweet girl for reminding me of my passion!!!
