Abby Comes to Visit

My first visitor of 2010 headed up for MLK weekend, Abby came to visit. It also happened to be her birthday weekend as well so I was honored that she would come visit and celebrate with me. She arrived on Wednesday night and was a real champ, exploring on her own Thursday while I had to go to student teaching. Friday (her actual birthday) we headed down to downtown crossing, Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall to do some MEGA shopping. We dined at Legal Seafood on the water and then went to the every fancy three story movie theater to see Leap Year.
Saturday we headed up to Maine and lunched in Kennebunkport and walked through all the little shops and then hit up the outlets on our way back to Mass. Quite a great weekend for shopping with several stores having additional 50-60% off their sale stuff :)

Such a quaint little town and GORGEOUS weather in the low 40's and sunny.... break out the flip-flops!

We ate at Alissons for lunch in Kennebunkport and though we did not try the lobster rolls (sorry Mere R) we did eat some amazing eats!!

Sunday we had a lazy day and headed to church and then chilled on the couch and then headed into Harvard square where we discovered Sweet, a super cute cupcake shop.

Monday it snowed and snowed and snowed....we ventured again into downtown and went to the MFA and I got cultured and Abby tried to teach me a bit about art. We then shopped at the Pru, walked through the public gardens and then had dinner with my friends Chris and Sheley, complete with some Mad Gab.
Abby left Tuesday morning and headed to the sunny south where rumor had it there were temperatures in the 60's!
Thanks for venturing up to experience the north in the winter, Abby!!
Come again soon :)
