Welcome to Delaware

The beginning of the Jersey Turnpike and a glimpse at the rain

So today was the big day... left RDU at 8:30am and hit the highway. Drove through 7 states today: North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
Through lots of rain, tolls, construction, and traffic we drove! I can't see out of the back of my car so needless to say changing lanes in the rain was quite an adventure. And can I just say that umm we only stopped 2 times the whole day... oh yeah that pretty much is awesome for two girls! We had so much fun together and just talked and talked and looked at the clock and said oh wow we have been on the road for 5 hours wanna stop?
Check out the videos in the posts to follow to get an update from the road. Enjoy the signs from just 2 of the states we journeyed through. We are currently living it up in a hotel in Connecticut, exhausted but full after a yummy sushi dinner at a restaurant with the address of 666 Main street (doesn't get much better than that). And can I just say that after 2 weeks on an air mattress I am super excited to be sleeping in a bed tonight!
