This past weekend 2 of my sisters, one sister-in-law, and 7 of my friends all hit the highway for Atlanta, GA to attend the Deeper Still conference. This conference had an amazing lineup of Kay Arthur, Beth Moore, and Priscilla Shirer. The experience of 19,000 women jamm packed into an arena made me think hmm this is what heaven is going to be like. It brought tears to my eyes to hear all of us sing and when the reality of the reason we were all there hit me bring on the waterworks. To me it was an awesome realization that 19,000 women decided that they needed some refreshment in their walk with the Lord, needed to begin a walk with the Lord, or needed to hear from the Lord. Think of what will happen if all of us take back this fervor and fire that we experienced and share it with 1 person and they share it with 1 person...whoa can we say REVIVAL.
I really felt the Lord speaking to me and affirming various things in my life. I am praying as I reflect back that I will continue to implement the things the Lord revealed to be and I know that I will never be the same. I see Deeper Still as a definitive point in my walk with the Lord and I am so excited to see where our relationship is going to go.
The weekend was also a great time to spend with my sisters and sister in law. I loved being able to spend so much time with them. I feel that whenever there are family gatherings it is always a quick trip to town for a birthday or some other milestone and there is very little time to truly spend together and get to know one another. I am so thankful for my sister in law and she is such a blessing to our family. The Lord has been so gracious to us with the in-law portion so far and I pray that He will continue to bring men and one more woman that are a great addition to our family.
