Maryland with the Colemans

As soon as I got back to Boston from taking Kaitlin to college, I repacked my suitcase and boarded a plane to head to Maryland to meet up with the Colemans.

It was so wonderful to spend a few days with them in Baltimore and Annapolis!

We visited Johns Hopkins. It was a gorgeous campus and I kind of wanted to apply, 3rd masters anyone?

Charm City Cakes, but you can't even go inside without calling ahead, bummer!

We met up with Tom and Allison for dinner one night. It was so much fun to all get to be together, it doesn't happen often enough!

We ate our way through Annapolis and I had the absolute best crab cakes I have EVER had to date, oh man, they were soooo good!!

We visited the Naval Academy too. After hearing the admissions talk, I was way impressed and admire the dedication and discipline that these young men and women undertake when they sign up!

I was quite excited to find out that that mascot was indeed my favorite animal, A GOAT!!

We got to watch the cadets file in for lunch, it was a really neat ceremony to watch.

Little did we know that our visit would be cut short :(

Unfortunately with Hurricane Irene heading our way, our time together got cut short due to cancelled flights and a frenzy of trying to get out ahead of the storm. Praise the Lord, I got my flight changed and made it home and wasn't stranded at an airport all weekend. But knowing that Thanksgiving was just around the corner made the goodbye not as hard! Thanks for the fun time in Maryland Colemans, I cannot wait to see you on your coast very soon!!!
