Sunday morning we headed down to 5th Avenue for the Easter parade. A parade of people who come from around the world with their Easter bonnets on display. We saw some crazy fun hats. I was really hoping for a Bethenny siting or some other Real Housewife of NYC but no such luck.
This couple went all out!
There were so many people!! It was a rather warm and gorgeous day with sunshine! We found a cute little place for brunch and then said goodbye to Kayce and headed out for a bit of shopping.
Now we fully support businesses that close for Easter or on Sunday in general, but selfishly I was sad that the American Girl Place was closed :(
We headed back to the hotel got our stuff and then said our goodbyes. I headed for the bus station and they headed for the airport.... Meredith and Kayce got home no problem... I had quite an adventure getting back complete with standstill traffic and almost getting locked in the bus with this sweet S. American lady I was trying to help find her memory card for her camera who spoke very little English. Courtney and Taylor ended up with a canceled flight and got to spend the night in a sketch hotel before finally getting back to NC the next day.... wow!!! No one can blame us for having boring lives :)
