Courts Comes to Visit

Courtney came to visit right after I got back from California. We had so much fun. She flew in Sunday night and I picked her up at the airport and we ate dinner in Harvard Square. We tried a new restaurant that was not very good and I don't think I will go there again, but hey you gotta try the new ones to then either add them to the list or cross them off.
Monday we headed to Concord and went to Orchard House for a tour and then walked through Concord and went to all the cute little shops.

Tuesday we headed into downtown and walked through Boston Common and the Public Gardens. We took a Swan Boat ride which was something I had yet to do because it is a seasonal thing. I love being able to have Boston "firsts" when my visitors come.
We hit up Newbury Street and did a bit of shopping and of course stopped in for some Starbucks!!! We then hit up the Pru for even more shopping and I got to inaugurate Courtney to the fabulous world of Anthropologie!!!

We ate dinner in the North End and then watched the street performers near Faneuil Hall. It was this group of African American guys who do awesome dance moves, say lots of really stereotypical statements about blacks and whites, and then collect money. My favorite thing they said was, "Obama wants the change, we want the dollars!" Courtney and I got a big kick out of the performance because the guys were doing some of the dance moves that our students used to do like the "stinky leg" HAHAHA we were DYING!!!

After dinner we made our way to the Commons theater for the midnight premier of Eclipse. We got there at 10pm and the news trucks were parked outside but there was no line. I was so surprised and just casually asked the ticket taking girl when we would be allowed into the theater, she very "nicely" told me that we could go in now. So we rushed up the two stories of escalators and got prime seats in the middle of the theater in the middle of the row! I was thrilled cause I just knew I would end up in the front of the theater and have to stare straight up the entire time.

Janna, Nina, Me, Janey, and Courts waiting for the movie to start. Though not all of us were team Edward, we still had a fun time.

The Official Popcorn of Eclipse!!!

Wahooooo this is what happens when I stay up really late :)
Thanks for all the boot legged snacks Janey, you are the best!!!

The movie was good and I knew that I would dream about wanting to fall in love with a vampire. We got back to my apartment around 3:30am and woke up at 7am so I could drop Courts off at the airport. Thanks for coming to visit Courts, I am so glad you got to come as a single lady, next time you can bring the hubster!
