Cassandra Comes to Visit

Maybe it's because I am awesome, maybe it's because I moved somewhere AMAZING, maybe it's because there are direct flights that are often really really cheap, or well maybe it's because I am awesome :0) Regardless of what it is... Cassandra came to spend part of her spring break up north and I was so excited to see her and that she brought some fantabulous weather along with her.

SATURDAY

I picked her up at the airport Saturday morning and said, "LET'S GO TO MAINE!!!!" So we hit the highway and headed to Maine!

I needed to hear the ocean, I needed to feel the sand... I think I need to buy a house here!

No, I haven't learned new gang signs, I didn't quite make it across the rocks in the 10 seconds the self-timer gave me.

Walker's Point.... Wonder what would have happened if I had jumped in and tried to swim across???
We lunched and shopped in Kennebunkport and then we hit up Kittery for some outlet action and then headed back to Massachusetts.

Saturday night we went to Cask'n Flagon and watched the Doook vs. Tarholes game, let's just say I am a good friend :)

SUNDAY

I have no pictures from Sunday during the day but we had brunch on Newbury Street after church at the Atlantic Fish Company and ate the most amazing french toast with brandied bananas... let's just say I am a breakfast expert and that was the best brunch I have EVER had!!!
You know you are at a fancy dining establishment when the waitress asks, "would you like sparkling water or tap"... then you respond TAP and she says, "oh"

We did lots of browsing and walked all over the city. Then I took Cassandra on a tour of BC.

This is my favorite view, the football stadium on the left and downtown Boston in the background... so beautiful!

MONDAY

I had to student teach so Cassandra set out on her own and experienced the Freedom Trail and I met up with her that afternoon in the North End where we enjoyed a snack at Mike's Pastry.

Went to the waterfront, Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall.

Walked through Chinatown

And then hit up South Boston for dinner at the Barking Crab

The little buzzers are in the shape of lobsters so we had to take some pics while we waited for our table.
The food was soooo delicious and the restaurant itself had such a cool atmosphere!

TUESDAY

Tuesday is the day I have my assistantship so that afternoon we hit up Harvard Square. We walked through Harvard and the shops in the square and then went to Sweet one of my favorite little spots to enjoy some cupcakes.
Cassandra left Wednesday morning.
Thanks for coming to visit, Cassandra, it was so great to have you!
Come again soon, there is so much more we didn't get to do!!!
