My 26th Birthday Weekend!!!

My birthday celebration started on Friday night and continued until late Saturday night. I am so thankful for the wonderful friends God has placed in my life and their wonderful pouring forth of love and specialness over my birthday weekend!

Friday Night

Friday night Courtney helped me start my birthday celebration. We went to the Junior League's annual shopping spree at the Convention Center downtown. They had a special event on Friday night called Blues, Brews, and BBQ. We shopped, we ate, we listened to live music, and we shopped some more!

Look at all that shopping!! 4 hours later and I was pooped!
So excited!!

The Game!!!
Saturday was my actual birthday and yay there was a home football game vs. BC (I am hoping that it is foreshadowing of the year to come!!!) We started the day off with a breakfast tailgate complete with pancakes, eggs, bacon, liver mush(not so yummy), and a special guest appearance by Andre!
Taylor and I have found our new calling in cornhole and I am hoping that ladder golf will become an Olympic sport.
Oh Taylor, thanks for the sacrifice of your pants ... the pancakes rocked!!!
My favorite engaged couple!! I'm so thankful for them and their friendship.... and that they were able to come and celebrate my birthday morning!
What better for a morning breakfast tailgate than a fabulous platter and from Swoozies... ooo la la!
Tricia, I love my new breakfast platter!!!
Roomies what fun to spend my birthday morning with 2 of my bests!!! So thankful for these girls and the depth that the Lord has taken our frienship over the past year! You girls are amazing!!!!
We endured the heat and sweated and stayed hydrated and had the game of our lives... oh and precious Taylor had my name submitted and it was on the jumbo tron wishing me a happy birthday... one of the highlights of my life!

Oh and I got to see my precious niece Laila and give her auntie kisses!!!

Birthday Dinner
After a little afternoon nap we headed to one of my favorite restaurants....Sushi Thai!

Dude you always make me cry on your blog. You are so right though. Sometimes we want something but God has it pictured just a little different. You are right, you are a Mom to 23 kids.

I love hearing you talk about teaching because when you talk about it I know you were called to do it--it's such blessing and joy to be called by God and I hear it in every word you speak about teaching--just know that.
