Oh get very very excited!!!
Friday we went to Ft. Mc. Henry. Do you know the historical significance of this fort? Well it is the fort that is famous for the "Star Spangled Banner". Francis Scott Key wrote the song from a ship in the harbor as he sat watching to see if the British would win... after a day and a half of fighting at day break the American flag was still flying over the fort. The fort also played a role in the Civil War as well as World War I. It was so much fun seeing and exploring the fort.
We stopped in Potomic Mills on our way back to NC and spent ummmmm 2.5 hours at IKEA! It was sooo much fun and I bought so much great cute stuff for my apartment as well as my classroom. I also have made a wish list and hope to go back in a few months for some new bedroom furniture.
Spring Break was amazing!!!
