Last night we hosted the Pink Palace Christmas party. The Pink Palace is the nickname my refinery girls gave our apartment last year and it has stuck. We invited friends from all circles of our lives. We also decided that this year we wanted to add a charity component to our party so we asked all our guests to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Durham Rescue Mission. Working in Durham I have a real heart for the people there and though this would be a great way to give.
Saturday night our apartment was packed to the max and everyone had a fabulous time. It was so fun to have all our friends from church, work, and different arenas of our life all come together.
A true highlight was having Mike, Amy, and baby boy Williams there. Mike is one of the pastors at our church and has been our Sunday school teacher for the past 2 years. He also led the team I was on that ministered in Albania last summer. Mike and Amy are such a Godly example of marriage and we are so blessed to have them in our lives.
