Taylor Comes to Visit

The weekend before Thanksgiving, Taylor came to visit me! It was so much fun to have her here and was just what I needed to make it through the rest of the semester. I picked her up bright and early Friday morning and then we headed to the town diner for some delicious pancakes and to catch up.... after about 3 hours we thought we better give up our booth.

Friday afternoon we headed to the organ concert at gorgeous church downtown and then lunched at Parrish Cafe which is a cafe where a lot of Boston's famous chefs design sandwiches that are featured. It was AMAZING! We did some shopping on Newbury and Beacon Street. We had an hour long convo over a cup of coffee at Dunnkin' Doughnuts and were gonna catch a movie but it was sold out so.... then came home for a deluxe dinner of hot dogs, baked beans, and mac-n-cheese (it's our fav!).

Saturday morning was the monthly women's breakfast at my church and then we headed down towards the public gardens. The weather was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! We lunched at Finale and then did some more walking and shopping and walking. I think the entire weekend we probably walked the equivalent of the Boston Marathon. We grabbed some coffee and went to claim our spots for the tree lighting at Faneuil Hall. A few of my friends from church met up with us for the tree lighting and then we went to eat Thai! The tree was 85 feet tall which is the tallest Christmas tree in New England. It was so much fun and to top it off they shot out confetti kind of like the fake snow they shot out at Southpoint a few years ago.... Taylor and I were super excited.

So happy to have my last visitor of 2009 :)
