So... I went to the 4th Annual National Reading First Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. I was really excited to get to travel for my school. I learned a lot of really great strategies and some new ideas to implement into my class for the upcoming school year.
St. Louis wasn't all that I expected it to be. I have been to Chicago and New York so I was thinking big city, but well although it is a big city there was like zero night life. I mean barely any restaurants or shops downtown. It was really sad :(
We (two of the other teachers I work with and I) did go to the Anheuser Busch place and took a tour. It was really cool although I hate beer and don't drink it to see how it was made.
We stayed in a really nice hotel inside a mall so that was fun.

my mom was totally at that conference too! I didn't realize your school was a Reading First school. My mom is a Reading First coordinator from Tennessee. When she was here in March, she visited a school in Durham. Which school are you at? I hope you had a blast! I know my mom did.
